Puck reported last week that the Democrats are even more convinced a woman candidate cannot win in 2028 after the failures of Clinton and Harris. We disagree, some of the greatest potential candidates are women— whilst abielt Republican—the parties just need to align to give the voters the best choice.
Are we really going to go into another election cycle of tired, brash sexual innuendos and crass comments coming out of an uncouth mouth? Does anyone still remember the presidential debate between Obama and Romney when statesman existed with class, manners and honour?
Then why are we still so nervous about a woman candidate? The United States populate is notorious for overcompensating between presidencies. Since 1993, every change of president has also changed the party controlling the White House. So why is so hard to imagine the overcompensation to a crass uncouth toxic male, has to be a rock solid, policy driven woman?
For 2028 there are currently slim offerings of any men who are respectable and inspiring, it’s the dregs of the political landscape, JD Vance, Gavin Newsom, Rubio, does anyone want any of these anywhere near the Whitehouse? Yet standing in waiting are some incredible powerhouses. Here are our options for the next leader of the free world.
